My Favorite Ornament

They have brought a tree in the house again, and I am waiting for them to put on the ornaments.  My favorite is a little horse with a golden horn on his head.  He hangs from a chain on his back, and if you tap him very gently he looks like he is running.  If you tap him a little harder he falls down.  I try not to do that.

    There is a tiny little bird hanging from a red string. I painted it many years ago. It’s white and has blue and red on it. His beak is open as if he is tweeting. I don’t know why but he is probably my favorite.

    There are no bird ornaments on the tree at our house. At least, there weren’t last year. I’m not sure why. Maybe they’re afraid we’ll eat them.

    My favorite is a small green cross one of the girls made out of plastic canvas and ribbon. It’s been on our tree every year hubby and I have been together.
